Victoria did not have a happy childhood growing up. Abused by the people who are supposed to love her, she turned towards the darkness to seek solace. But instead of finding comfort, she ended up making a deal with the devil. This is her testimony of deliverance from her old way of life.
Hearing voices
Victoria was only 5 when she started hearing voices that only she could hear. It was most likely rooted from how her parents have treated her as a young girl. She was physically and verbally abused, constantly told that she was never good enough. That’s why she would often retreat in her “own world” to escape her reality. In this world, she would hear the voices say that she’s special and different and can never be accepted.
As she grew older, she started exploring the supernatural, which eventually led her to the study and practice of witchcraft. The voices encouraged her with what she was doing so the more she listened, the deeper she would go into it. She even tried astral projection where she felt power. But despite all of that, it still wasn’t enough so she started using opioids as a teenager.
A deal with the devil
Victoria became dependent on the drug all throughout high school. It was her way of coping and for a while, it was enough. Until one night, after a bad fight with her mother, 17-year old Victoria heard a voice telling her to give her life to the devil. She was promised that everything will be okay if she does. She agreed and the next thing that happened was that she was choking her mother.
She almost killed her but fortunately, she stopped. Since that night, her life just began to spiral downward with a series of unfortunate events. She experienced several miscarriages, had no permanent home, and was always tormented by the voices.
“They just became aggressive,” Victoria said. “They would torment me in the middle of the night. I couldn’t move, breathe, and see anything. It was like I was being choked to death.”
Finding hope and freedom
At this point, Victoria was just feeling dead inside until one day, at 18 years old, she received a bible from a family friend. She began reading it daily until such time the truth of God’s word penetrated into her heart.
She was pregnant when she finally had a wake-up call. She was desperate to make a change in her life for her unborn child. While in the streets with nowhere to go, Victoria heard a different voice telling her to go to the church. That’s when she broke down and told the devil that she’s ending the deal with him.
She finally arrived at the doorsteps of the church where she just started weeping. Some church members saw her and helped her get inside the church. Victoria instantly gave her life to Jesus Christ and encountered great deliverance from her opioid use and demonic influence.
Today, Victoria is a mother to her son Nehemiah and her faith keeps growing as she continues to seek God.
