Jessica was in college when she decided to stray away from Christianity and explore other spiritual practices like yoga. Unfortunately, there was just so much emptiness inside her until God delivered her.
Childhood days
Jessica Smith grew up knowing God through her mother who taught her to believe in Jesus. Oftentimes, she would turn to Jesus for comfort and security especially since her father was an alcoholic and caused her so much emotional damage growing up.
“I loved the idea that God was my father in heaven and He fulfilled any of the inadequacies of my real father,” said Jessica.
However, when she got into highschool, that’s when she started doing things that felt good to her. She experimented with drugs because she wanted to be accepted, popular and liked by boys. Then in college, she finally decided to completely leave behind Christianity.
The deception
Jessica eventually began exploring other spiritual truths after the death of a close friend. She wanted to find answers to where her friend’s soul went. And because she couldn’t bear the thought of her friend being in hell, she sought advice from a relative who happened to be a psychic. Her relative told her she could talk to her deceased friend so she agreed to do it.
She was quickly deceived by the emotional experience, believing that the love and peace she felt was from God. So in the next 10 years, she pursued the feeling full-time. She immersed herself in meditation, taught yoga, Reiki, energy healing and communication with spirits.
Seeking Counsel
Jessica’s priority was to achieve Nirvana. However, her relationship with her boyfriend was a mess. She struggled with anger and unhappiness so she agreed to seek help from Christian counselors, Donald and Don Offerman. She met up with them but with the condition that they don’t pressure her with Jesus.
Her time with the Offerman slowly softened her heart again to Jesus. Even her boyfriend got to know Jesus and became a Christian. She decided that since Jesus was there for her during childhood, she should give Him spiritual priority over other gods she has been working with.
“All of these other spirits really were just acquaintances spirits compared to that deep foundational relationship that I had with Jesus as a child,” Jessica explained. “And I just thought, ‘why am I not working with Jesus?’”
Deliverance from other spirits
With a refreshed faith in Jesus, Jessica prayed to the other spirits: “Thank you so much for all that you have taught me but from now on, I’m just going to be working with Jesus.”
She has been transitioning from one spirit or energy for a while now so she thought that there wouldn’t be any problem with choosing Jesus. She and her boyfriend began reading the book of Luke aloud everyday until something happened.
Jessica was sitting at the kitchen table when suddenly out of nowhere she felt a spiritual attack. There was an overwhelming tear, hate and evil. In that moment, she completely surrendered her life to Christ. She asked her boyfriend to pray in the name of Jesus.
“Satan masquerades as an angel of light and I knew in an instant that every single word of the Bible was true.”
Jessica instantly held onto the truth of the Word and then she let out a “deep throaty-like” hiss that came from the back of her throat. It was then followed by a feeling of energy leaving her body.
Rededicating her life
After that powerful deliverance, Jessica rededicated her life to Jesus and returned to church where she grew deeper in faith. She is now set free from many demonic spirits and she is now a wife and mother of two. “ The peace that Jesus gave me was this deep true peace that wasn’t a feeling. It came by faith.”
